The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission highly encourages employers and third-party administrators to move to an electronic payment process for all amounts due for quarterly state unemployment taxes through an electronic fund transfer (ACH Debit) or a credit card per Okla. Admin. Code 240:10-5-91(e). Paper checks will be accepted during a grace period ending October 1, 2024 without a processing fee applied. Electronic payments can be made through the agency website at https://eztaxexpress.oesc.state.ok.us/.

During the 2023 legislative session,Oklahoma passed House Bill 2456 (section 6-204of the Employment Security Act) which reestablishes the 5% allocation of state unemployment tax dollars to a UI Technology Fund. Beginning January 1, 2024, OESC's quarterly reporting of unemployment tax contributions will reflect this apportionment. Employers should take steps to ensure their federal unemployment tax credit is reduced accordingly.
